Merchant Fraud

Published by Clifford at 12:46 am under Business

I guess Merchant Fraud is running rampant.  This explains why it’s taking a few extra days to get anything setup online as far as doing business.

Google took extra long, verifying my checking account information before finally giving me a merchant account.  I thought this was a bit odd, considering they already have my information for the ad-sense experiment I ran for a while.

The Account with iTunes is taking a long time.  Their email response was kurt, simply stating it’s not easy setting up an account that sells software in 75 countries.  Seventy five?

Wow.

Lesson learned: setup the merchant accounts first.

Wow — good lesson learned. Although, now that you will have it set up for Buy That Duplex, would you need to go through the whole process again for a different product?

@Alison: Thankfully not! Once my account is established, I can put any number of applications up for sale. But just getting that first one is taking forever.
