Cliff, are you still spacing the appointments apart? Just make them all at the same time and waste only 1 hour of your life. :)

Kenrics last blog post..<a href="http://www.livelearninvest.com/blog/general-update-again/" rel="nofollow">General Update again</a>

Ugh! How frustrating!! Maybe they work for the cable company! ;)

But think of it this way. These people screened themselves for you. No show, no call says a lot about them!

(Sorry, I hit the wrong key)

Before you were born, sensible adults were blaming Dr. Spock and permissive parenting for creatimg a generation of overindulged, self centered brats with no manners. This generation has grown up and made the rules for quite a while now.

We can lament the behavior, but we still have to deal with it. I like the idea of mass showings. Set a two hour window when you can be at the property and invite everyone you have pre-qualified as reasonably sane and apparently financially capable to see the property then. Bring some work to do or a book to read, or have your repair vendors come by during that window. That way you can get something accomplished, and there are fewer hard feelings if a prospect does not show.

In the meantime, have a close look at what places like yours are actually renting for. Not the fanciful asking rents in the paper or on Craigslist, but achieved rents, preferably in the last two to three weeks. If your rent needs to be lowered, do it now and get the place rented.

This is the weekend where everyone who is moving on July 1 nails down the new house or apartment. If no one was interested enough to show up to look at yours, then your rent is too high. Thty all found cheaper or better located housing. Time to think about lowering the rent.

Sorry, but it wasn't the 90's when rude behavior became acceptable. Like every other significant cultural chanfe since WWII, blame us baby boomers and our parents. Before
