Paint by Number

This last weekend, I started painting the exterior of the house.
To be more precise, I put the primer on this weekend. Painting started Tuesday.
Debate: use an airless sprayer or not. Two things: First, I’ve never used one. Second, the wind blows and suddenly my neighbor’s house resembles mine.
Paint floats quite well.
What in the world are injection wounds? If any part of my body gets around the nozzle the sprayer will inject paint right under the skin. Deadly, icky stuff.
Go to the hospital immediately. Even if no visible wound is present or feel no pain.
Plus with a sprayer, all the windows, the trim has to be taped off or covered in newspaper . . . that could take some time considering I’m using four colors.
I elected to do it by hand. Yes, it may go slow. My team, consisting of me, myself and I, are working diligently.
Surprisingly it’s very therapeutic.
Doing this is saving me about $5500. The way things are going on the back house I may need it.

Hey, do-it-yourselfer! I’m beginning my job as a construction worker this afternoon. I’m starting out with removing the wallpaper (I hate wallpaper with a passion) from two bathrooms and all the stinky, disgusting carpet. I hear carpet’s heavy and will take some muscle. Maybe I’ll just cut it into smaller pieces.
Oh, by the way, I think you made the right decision about rolling and brushing the exterior. Using a sprayer outside is asking for a lawsuit–paint goes all over other people’s houses and cars. I know professionals do that all the time–but, they’re typically really good with paint shields.
