Ask anyone who has dealt with a contractor and 90% of the time they
will state one identical theme: have contractor
finish the job. This in turn sets the bar extremely low to the point
where the questions asked are (1) did the contractor finish and (2)
does it work.
Upon entering the house yesterday, one word came to mind: whoa
The work of Mikki and Mr. Hilti (aka SideKick) has transcended the
simple definition of contractor. If they will finish the job is not
even in question: my faith is absolute. What was not expected was the
level and quality of the workmanship which is self-evident.
Unfortunately the pictures don’t do justice to the work. This is all brand new copper plumbing, along with the newly (and correctly) installed vent stacks. And the electrical work.
To say this is simply a case of “taking pride in one’s work” is an accurate, if not somewhat lacking definition of what I see. Contractor sprinkled with artisan and perfectionist would be a closer recipe to describe the craftsmanship which is accuring.
An invisible sign which hangs at the outer door
of the house can be sensed by anyone who approaches. The sign which reads “Leave your mediocrity at the
door. Only your best is allowed here.“ |

Looks great. You’ve got a goldmine there. Finding a good, solid, consistent and reliable contractor is very rare.
Good work is everyone’s reward. Although your tenants and the ultimate buyer will never appreciate it (except when they notice that it doesn’t break).
Kenric, compared to the last few . . . this one definitely is a gold mine.
AI, you’re correct. Good work rarely gets acknowledged. In my little world, the opposite holds true.
Who is going to crawl under the house to snap a picture of the great PEX lines Hiltiman installed?
