Wow that house is going to be gorgeous!

Looks like fun. You did get some of the windows open (cough, cough). Are the termites holding up the walls?

The kitchen space is awkward. Not much counter space or storage. Looks like you might have stripped out the drawers for a dishwasher space. I’m interested to see what you have planned. Going gourmet or keeping it simple?

You have a decent side yard. Any possibility of an addition over there?

The living/dining room is nice - open and spacious. Two baths are a real plus. All in all, it looks like you got a nice house with a lot of potential.

The final picture of the front door is beautiful.

Wow… looks like there is quite abit of work to be done with this house. Though, with new drywall, paints and refinishing the flooring, I’m sure the place will look like a million bucks.

AI, the odor has left the building. And the termites are doing an excellent job! For the yard, there’s a cement slab on the outside which could easily expand the kitchen area.

Mystery Commenter, the door is my favorite part. Getting a door like that these days?

William, my objective is to have it worth a million bucks. :)

    To those who care…

All windows are functional. Some we even removed to better throw stuff out of.

First toxic odor has been replaced with new toxic odor. We cut into the main drain/waste/vent lines to rework new bathroom and laundry area into.

Big ideas for kitchen to improve layout, adding additional counter space, cabinetry and appliances w/o expanding. Concrete slab outside of kitchen might have been good for expansion if the service panel wasn’t right outside the window.

Main water supply is PVC - Big No No. Branches are either copper (limited) or galvanized (mostly). Replacing with PEX.

Termite damage is minimal (California homes in the 20’s were built with either redwood or cedar, both effective at warding off termites)

Dry rot damage as expected in bathroom, and laundry room. Required removal of 2 floor joists.

Electrical is mix of tube and knob, old nmc, mc and mickey mouse. Much of the “new” wiring is a disaster from other dyi projects. Will be upgraded to code requirements.

Mikki - How much would I have to pay you to get you to move to Tulsa and come work with me??? Or, do you have a sister or cousin?

    I’m so jealous.
