She is filling out an application and she is on the lease. To be honest, if he decides to have a roommate then that is his option. For the rent, he has been told that I only want ONE check. Not two. When you are a landlord, you meet all kinds.. I would get this person's name on the lease so that she is also liable for rent if no one pays. I had a similar situation in a property I just bought - I found out there were two other people living there who were not on the lease. Aren’t people interesting?
