Inside Pandora’s Box

This issue is going out late. The need for pictures to help describe was important for the topic. The RealEstate Agent took the photos and hence the delay. Click on any photo to enlarge.
And here we go.
The overall condition of the front house is quite good. For the most part, all that is required is some tender loving care.
Hardwood floors are oak. No carpet.
Unfortunately a picture does not exist at this time of the laundry room. This is the future home of the master bath.
The current bathroom needs to be completely demolished and everything redone. New tub, new sinks, and new sub-flooring. The galvanized steel has to go in lieu of the more durable copper.

The kitchen sorely needs my help. |

There is a plus: no walls need to come down. Unlike the last project, where walls were removed, this house has more than enough space to accommodate everything that needs to be done. The only aspect of the house I do not care for is the thin hallway to the bedrooms.
I am sorry to say there is pop-corn on the ceilings. That makes me want to cry.

The exterior of the house needs some fresh paint. Right now, I describe the house as ‘two-beer’ house. That’s to say that after drinking two beers, she looks good. |

Nice!
I can see the potential already. It will be a vast improvement hanging something other than a surf board over the fire place, and laying a skateboard on the built in.
There is a product called Fire on Ice http://www.fireonice.com that might allow you to use a flueless fireplace. They add a nice touch. Not much heat though…
While it’s possible to redo just the supply line for the bathroom, are you planning on replacing all the galvy?
