Something in common

Jet-lag has a funny way of providing you with the perfect excuse to watch all those goofy t.v. shows at 2 o’clock in the morning.
Such as the case with one show I watched, if I can remember the title correctly, called "Changes des Interieurs". As the show started, I realized it was reminiscent of "Design on a dime". Some interior designer shows up at a victim’s house and, within 24 hours, completely changes a room.
Such as the case with Pierre. Pierre lived in, what could laughably be called, an apartment. This tiny, thumb-nail size abode was sterile and messy. Our designer, let’s call him Jean-Paul, arrived and announced he could help Pierre with his piles of junk.
With the magic of television, Jean Paul moreless re-organized the piles of clutter. Nothing was painted, nothing was really changed.
When asked why he contacted the show for assistance, Pierre said "Ma copine refuse de rester chez moi."
"My girlfriend refuses to stay at my place."
I thought to myself, "Us guys are so easy."
