The penguins are taking my sanity

Here’s what all the fuss was about.
To get the gas-line turned has proven to be just as much of a headache as getting the new line installed. The Gas Man who came out is one of those personality types that if he can find any excuse not to work, he won’t work.
When he saw the the new line, the first thing he threatened to do was call the city inspectors on me. But he quickly said he wasn’t going to do that. The way he said it made it sound like he was doing me some kind of favor. I immediately dismissed this by offering to show him the city inspector’s report, signed and dated.
Next, he threatened to take the gas box away thereby depriving myself and the tenant of complete gas usage. His reasoning for this was because the gas box had been disconnected from the gas line. I informed him that his own gas company disconnected everything because there was a gas leak.
Then he said he was not responsible for connecting the gas-line back to the main gas box. According to him, my plumber was to do that. With that, he stomped off. Now the plumber, who is just as irritated by all this as I am, came out within 30 minutes and had everything connected. The only problem was the physical stop is still in the gas line. And the plumber refused to remove it because the gas company put it there in the first place.
Ugh.
Can I start crying now?
It was 7:15 at night when I received a call on my cell phone. I had given up for the day; drowning my sorrows on coffee cake and an americano at the local coffee shop. It was my tenant. And the Gas Man. A different gas man.
The gas has been turned back on.
I will now invoke the phrase "Mo Fo".
