One red paper clip

The ingenuity of some people never ceases to amaze me.

Have you ever heard of this guy?  Amazing.  This guy, Kyle MacDonald, started a quest to obtain a house using a red paper clip.  His grand plan was to barter up.  If he traded, it was for something more valuable.  So he traded his paper clip, via craigslist.org, for a fish pen.

I won’t go through the whole story but he got his house.  Along the way, he got to hang out with Alice Cooper, Corbin Bersen; got a recording contract (for an album); a year of free rent in Phoenix, AZ; appeared on multiple national news networks; and my favorite - a fully functional KISS snowglobe.  Talk about an adventure!

This actually encourages me.  Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Of course this made me smile.  Many people have complained they can’t buy a house because they don’t have enough money.  Maybe I should give them a paper clip?
