A ha!

I hate Home Depot and I found out one reason why. Business Week wrote an article about the "Don D Ray’s Military Leadership" of this orange challenged company. In this article, I spotted something that illuminated why my hatred for this store burns brightly.
"The once-heavy ranks of full-time Home Depot store staff have been replaced with part-timers to drive down labor costs."
And there ya go, ladies and gents! This sentence explains two of my fundamental gripes with the big orange store. The first is the reason why I can’t seem to find the right answer to my questions. The second is the complete lack of customer service.
I remember as a wee lad after college, I was alright with going to Home Depot. It was always stocked with real working handymen, plumbers, and electricians. And these guys were older than dirt. I’d ask a home depot guy a question and his answer always started with "Well back before World War II . . ." or "I remember back in the great depression . . ." And they knew the difference between a piece of plywood and a screw-driver.
With the hip crowd working there now, if they can’t find a blueberry to match their orange outfit they don’t wear the outfit.

An hourly Target employee wages equal to $84,000? Totally believable.

Tell me about it! Just the other day, I had to ask the security guard for help! And, he directed me to a non-Home Depot employee for an answer!
Once I finally tracked down what I needed, I paid for it (oh, they won’t take our checks from our construction loan, either). Then, I let them know our contractor would be picking up our materials the next day. Our contractor let me know he had a hell of a time getting anyone to go get him what we paid for! He was there for an hour and a half, after already calling an hour ahead to warn them he was coming!
I know Lowe’s is a Walmart company, but I’ve never had these kinds of issues there.
