Breather

Posted on February 2, 2006 - Filed Under Personal |

There seems to be a calm before the storm.  Everything that I’m working is now out of my hands and waiting for others to get complete.  Normally this would frustrate the heck out of me.  Instead, I have decided that I’ll only allow this to frustrate me a little.

I’m now organizing.

First, my second bedroom looks like a complete war-zone.  What’s the difference between a war-zone and a "complete war-zone"?  Simple.  When your room is a complete war-zone, people ask what color your carpet is because they can’t see the floor.  And I don’t even have carpet!!  Well, that’s my second bedroom right now.

Second, there’s no exercise in my routine.  Since I have the flexibility of pre-cooked spaghetti, I’m thinking yoga or pilates would be good.  The gym?  Pfft!  I’ve grown tired of watching big muscle builders staring at themselves in the mirror while kissing their bulging biceps.

With a discussion with the Real Estate Agent, we decided to do a quick refi on the property before actually listing them.

Yeah, me, too. I’ve GOT to get serious about exercise–especially because I want to do a figure competition in Miami in June. That’s my way of 1) removing any doubt that I’m an insane person, 2) upping the ante–or at least living in denial about my procrastinating ways, and 3) giving myself motivation, since, well, who wants to jiggle their way down the catwalk?

May I suggest you check out the book Body for Life? You can skip the “motivational stories” at the beginning of the book and get right to the exercise/eating plans toward the back. Then, all you’d need is some dumbbells. You could run for your cardio workout.

The best part of the BFL genre is the Eating For Life recipe book, though. It’s designed to be “bachelor friendly”, yummy, healthy food. I highly recommend it.
